Job Description

We are looking for energetic, hardworking, and adventurous folks to join our team. We offer dog sledding tours with modified carts in Sheep Creek Valley near Juneau, AK.

Summer Camp Guides is a combination of sled dog handling and executing guest transportation to and from dog camp in a safe, responsible, professional, and friendly manner. Guides oversee the maintenance and care of assigned vehicles, ensure the wellbeing of each individual passenger assigned to them. Summer Camp Guides assist Musher's with conducting safe tours and caring for dogs.
Duties:

• Maintain guest safety and assist Mushers getting in and out of dog yards with teams.
• Inspect dogs daily for general health and fitness.
• Helping in the dog yard with feeding and cleaning
• Radio Communication
• Maintaining clean vehicles
• Performing Daily Vehicle inspections and checking previous inspections to ensure proper understanding of the van prior to morning departure
• Work throughout the camp to meet the needs of the day.
• Providing a safe and informative tour for guests
• Other duties as assigned by the Camp Manager

No experience necessary.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Must be able to legally work in the U.S.
• DOT Health Card
• Valid Driver's License
• Valid CPR and First Aid
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Employees live in wall tents.
• Must be available from the beginning of May to September.
