Job Description

Overview:

Sports Book Writer

It is the responsibility of the Sports Book Writer to provide a high level of customer service to patrons while being an expert in our menu of sports betting options.

Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service
  • Write and cash Sportsbook tickets for customers
  • Assist customers and answer all questions they may have
  • Balance drawer at end of shift
  • Keep customer sheet racks fully supplied
  • Head cashier to pick up and deliver all banks at beginning and end of shift
  • Head cashier to make starting banks for all tellers during day
  • Head cashier to receive and count all teller banks during the shift
  • Other projects or assignments as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma, previous accounting or money-handling experience, and computer terminal experience are preferred.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills required.
  • Strong math skills required.
  • Must possess a valid Casino Employee Registration or be eligible to obtain credential from the NJ DGE.
