We're looking for a Senior Interior Designer to lead and collaborate on transformative hotel projects. This role requires creativity, collaboration, and a passion for creating spaces that inspire.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with architects and design teams to deliver exceptional hotel projects.
Manage FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) schedules using Design Spec Software.
Ensure contractor quality to uphold high hotel standards throughout projects.
Conduct thorough research on materials for cost-effectiveness, quality, and functional suitability.
Build strong professional relationships and stay updated on hospitality design trends.
Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including PIP (Property Improvement Plan) and CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) projects.
Manage design schedules, deliverables, and budgets effectively.
Conduct site inspections, review contractor performance, and manage project workflows.
Provide expertise in bids, coordinate with procurement for budgeting, and oversee purchasing processes.
Draft scopes and RFPs (Request for Proposals), and respond to RFIs (Requests for Information).
Ensure project specifications meet LEED requirements and regulatory codes.
Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Skills to Develop:
Develop construction plans, oversee bidding processes, and manage contractor relationships.
Approve design specifications and effectively manage materials procurement.
Requirements:
10-15+ years of experience in design and space planning, ideally in hospitality or related fields.
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Proficiency in Revit, Sketchup, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) standards, and hospitality design principles.
Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
