Job Description

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a Research Assistant II at the Nevada Institute for Children's Research & Policy in the School of Public Health [R0144792].

ROLE of the POSITION

This position will assist Research Analysts to conduct and coordinate research activities, work collaboratively with project partners to address existing project requirements, and work with NICRP staff to develop ideas for related grants and projects. This position will take a leadership role on project tasks, assist with grant writing, and assist with the completion of final reports and publication manuscripts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires 1-3 years of related experience . The ideal candidate will have the ability to conduct social science and/or evaluation research under the supervision of a Research Analyst; have knowledge of research methods, data analysis, human subjects protections, and database development; possess good computer skills in word processing and data management, specifically with SPSS software, and have good oral and written communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) is preferred. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
