Job Description

Summary:

Our award-winning client is seeking a Regional Support Specialist to join their team. We are seeking a highly motivated Regional Support Technician to join our growing team and serve as a technical leader for robotic systems in the Chicago area.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel throughout the region (within a 3-hour radius of Chicago) to perform preventive and emergency maintenance on robotic systems, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.

  • Act as a technical resource for less experienced team members, providing guidance and support for troubleshooting and repairs.

  • Deliver comprehensive technical training to enhance the skills and knowledge of your colleagues.

  • Prioritize safety in all aspects of your work, adhering to strict safety protocols in both customer sites and internal operations.

  • Maintain equipment through cleaning, calibration, and minor repairs. Manage and optimize spare parts inventory to ensure efficient service delivery.

  • Collaborate closely with Regional Sales Managers to synchronize service support efforts and meet customer needs.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree (AA) and 6+ years of experience in robotic system maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting (or equivalent training).

  • Proven expertise in electrical, mechanical, and robotic systems, including controllers, preventative maintenance procedures, and related equipment.

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport, address concerns, and resolve issues effectively.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear documentation (service reports, spare part orders) and communication with customers.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing robotic systems both verbally and in writing.

  • Valid driver's license with full coverage auto insurance and willingness to travel extensively within the designated region (100% travel required).

  • Commitment to safety and a strong work ethic.
