The In-Market Regional Advisor Consultant (RAC) is a key player in supporting and promoting New York Life Investment products to advisors within their designated region. The RAC will be responsible for creating business plans and a sales strategy for developing and maintaining existing relationships, as well as identifying and acquiring new business within their territory to meet sales goals. The individual should showcase a passion for sales strategy, process, and investments. Demonstrate attention to detail and strong follow up process. Most critically, the Regional Advisor Consultant must be poise, professional, excellent presentation abilities, and have a high degree of enthusiasm for building relationships and a competitive drive to succeed. We are looking for a candidate with a deep understanding of the local market, strong relationships with advisors in Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina.
What You'll Do:
Business Plan Development: Collaborate with the Divisional Sales Manager and Business Intelligence team to create and enhance a business plan aimed at maximizing market share, assets, and profitability within the assigned territory
Relationship Building: Develop and nurture new relationships with advisors, and identify fresh selling opportunities to expand the reach and impact of our products
Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to cultivate leads and identify new opportunities, with a focus on enhancing digital engagement
Sales Campaign Strategy: Design and implement call plan strategies in conjunction with marketing efforts to boost sales campaigns and drive product awareness
Product Presentation: Effectively present New York Life Investment products and services to advisors, highlighting the unique benefits of our offerings in comparison to competitors
Industry Participation: Be available to attend industry conferences and events as needed, representing New York Life Investments and engaging with industry professionals
Technical Expertise: Provide advisors with technical information, demonstrating a strong knowledge of the competitive landscape, financial markets, and industry-related topics
Territory Travel: Travel within the designated territory to meet with advisors, conduct presentations, and foster relationships
Liaison Role: Act as a liaison between sales, marketing, and business intelligence teams to leverage intelligent distribution for maximum impact
What You'll Bring:
Product Knowledge: In-depth understanding of MainStay mutual funds & IQ ETFs, along with the ability to discuss sales and marketing strategies that impact the business
Location: Must be willing to reside within the territory
Presentation Skills: Possess excellent presentation and communication skills to effectively engage with advisors and industry professionals
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, and Tableau
Industry Experience: Experience working across multiple channels, including Wirehouse and Independent channels, with strong sales process knowledge
Pre-Hire Requirement: Please note this role requires Series 7 and 63 licensing

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: Base salary $75,000 (plus target sales incentive)
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: No
Sales bonus eligible: Yes
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
