Hybrid - 2 days on site Tuesday and Wednesday
The Financial Reporting Professional 4 ensures all reports and disclosures comply with applicable government regulations, professional standards, and organization policies. Prepares consolidation journal entries eliminates intercompany transactions, and consolidates divisional and subsidiary financial accounts in a timely and accurate basis for inclusion in internal and external financial statements. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgement and decision making on complex issue regarding job duties and related tasks and works under minimal supervision. Uses independent judgement requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
As part of Apexs Medicaid expansion, this role will have a direct impact to support corporate accounting functions for this product. The Financial Reporting Professional 4 performs activities supporting external financial reporting needs for several Medicaid states, including:
1. Work assignments that are of moderate to difficult complexity, including interpretation of reporting requirements and guidelines as needed to complete reporting based on technical requirements.
2. General understanding of core Healthcare processing functions related to financial results (Membership, Premium, Claims, Admin), to assist with determination of how to pull core information for reporting purposes.
3. Familiarity with data tools to help with data consolidation, preparation, reconciliation, and submission of reporting. PLSQL, Python, or other data retrieval and processing tools may be used.
4. Guiding and leading 2-3 direct reports who will assist with report and reconciliation preparation.

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance, and/or MBA/CPA
5-7 years of financial accounting/reporting experience
Moderate experience with Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Previous experience with financial reporting and/or data analysis
Previous experience in working with large data sets, querying, or consolidation of results for reporting; exposure to SQL or querying tools
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Previous Heathcare experience working in Finance/Accounting
Previous Heathcare experience with claims, premium, or membership data warehouse tables and data flows
Additional Information
Remote KY or IN; this position is essentially a Hybrid Home position, requiring two days in the office each week in Louisville, KY.
