Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate PRN Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, excellent interpersonal skills, and proficiency in phlebotomy. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for performing finger sticks, venous blood draws, blood pressure checks, and other health assessments at various client locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venous and capillary blood collection efficiently and safely.
• Perform testing via CardioCheck+ machines utilizing finger-stick sample collection.
• Conduct biometric screenings including blood pressure (automated and manual), BMI, body fat measurements, and other health metrics.
• Conduct COVID-19 testing, including nasopharyngeal sample collection.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of participant information.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and sterile environment.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals and team members to provide a comprehensive health screening experience.
• Provide services at various screening sites as needed (reliable transportation is required).
• Assist with transporting medical instruments and supplies to and from screening events, if necessary.
• Facilitate effective communication between team members, management and clients.
• Attend paid training sessions, either in-person or via Microsoft Teams.
• Perform additional related duties as required .

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to provide services at different sites within the designated area.
• Current certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent.
• Proficiency in performing blood draws (both fingerstick and venous blood), and biometric measurements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• CPR certification.
• Bilingual abilities are highly desirable, but not required.

Physical Demands:

• Extended periods of standing, sitting, and walking.
• Some bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds).

Compensation:

• Standard per diem, PRN hourly rate based on your state of residence.
• Options to be a Team Lead may be assigned and includes an hourly differential when utilized as such.
• Paid training as they are required for an event.  Onboarding train is non-compensated.
