We are recruiting for an Inventory Specialist for a large Distribution & Manufacturing Center in Central Indiana. This is a 1st shift Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM with OT as required. Pay is $24-$26 per hour. Do you like inventory processes, cycle counts and working with Excel? This is the perfect job for you. You must be proficient with Excel and have pivot table expertise to qualify for this role.
The Inventory Specialist will do a wide variety of tasks that surrounding the inventory process and inventory maintenance. The IS will do daily, weekly, and monthly processes to help maintain the inventory accuracy The IS will report to the Fulfillment and Distribution Manager and the Director of Operations.
Daily Routine : The IS will print the count sheets of for the product that needs to be counted and work with the supervisor/manager to get the counts completed. The IS will be reconciling the counts and investigating any issues that arise with the counts from the previous night. Finally, the IS will check the paper transfers of the material handler to ensure no issue has happen during transferring the product. The IS will investigate/adjust any inventory that is missing from orders that is in wholesale and direct.
Weekly Routine : The IS will execute a Performance Audit for the put away bins and one aisle a week will be completed to ensure the put aways are correct. The IS will keep track of the bin magnets on the pick floor and update tags as needed. The IS will pick and systemically complete any inventory request from the SIOP or PD team. The IS will close out Cycle Count adjustment and complete CC weekly notes and send to the appropriate people. The IS will complete the Tacoma Transfer workbook and investigate any Tacoma Transfer issues that come up. The IS will move the RTV and S&D (non-orbitals) items to the appropriate pallet and record the part #, batch #, and order # on the current open workbooks for each pallet.
Monthly Routine: The IS will review the discontinue/new item spreadsheet to see if any NEW bins need to be created for incoming items. They will update the Orbital Return Report for the prior month and make sure all Plainfield transfers and adjustment are closed for the end of the month. They will make a final check to delete the zero bins for PA, QC, STAGE, and KITFLR locations.
Quarterly Routine: The IS will look at the Cycle Count Spreadsheet and review the number of counts left for the quarter and prepare for the next quarter with SIOP Team.
The Inventory Specialist will complete other tasked that is assigned to them that pertains to keeping the inventory current.
