Reporting to the Director, Global Import Controls, the Manager, Global Valuation, will coordinate the global customs valuation program in partnership with regional teams and cross functional partners. This individual will use their knowledge of cross border valuation rules to support JnJ segments to implement existing and emerging global trade regulations. The individual will be required to align partners across a matrixed organization to analyze and resolve complex valuation issues, build capabilities, coordinate audit and remediation efforts and monitor and communicate changing regulations.
Key Responsibilities: - Deploy valuation policies, processes and procedures that meet existing and changing regulations
- Ensure timely implementation of valuation requirements, collaborating with global team program members to support efficient implementation
- Lead 3rd party engagement, as needed
- Support governance of global valuation program metrics and scorecards; ensure scorecard improvement reflects progression along a maturity curve
- Advise on design and implementation of global trade solutions across process, data and technology
- Collaborate with teams of trade compliance professionals and J&J businesses to build trust, influence, motivate self and others, practice diversity and inclusion, and make informed and timely decisions
- Perform all other relevant activities relating to job accountabilities as required
Education: - A Bachelor's degree is required. A degree focused in finance/compliance/ economics or equivalent
- Advanced degree or global trade certification (Customs broker's license) is desirable
Experience and Skills: Required: - A minimum of 6 years of direct functional expertise in any of the following areas; Global Trade, Tax, Finance or equivalent
- Comprehensive business knowledge, strategy development and experience in a global compliance area
- Experience developing and implementing compliance processes
- Experience implementing data and technology solutions to support effective compliance processes
Preferred: - In-depth knowledge of importing, exporting, and country specific trade regulations
- Prior experience working with regulatory agencies and industry peers and companies
- Prior experience managing compliance solutions with technology tools such as SAP, SAP Global Trade Services, Trade Automation, Alterx, PowerBI, etc
- Project management experience
Other: - This position has an anticipated 25% travel
- The anticipated base pay range for this position is $99000 to $170200.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
