Job Description

Hi-Rise Bread Co. is hiring Farmers Market and Counter Support Staff! Farmers Market Staff work at 1-3 farmers markets per week during market season (May-November) while also working 1-3 shifts as Counter Support Staff at Hi-Rise Bread, Hi-Rise’s bakery and café. Farmers Market Staff represent Hi-Rise at area farmers markets, selling a wide variety of breads, pastries, confections, and jam; Counter Support Staff provide critical operational support to the customer-facing functions of the business while maintaining standards for accuracy, speed, cleanliness, teamwork, and general work ethic. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

FARMERS MARKETS

• Ability to perform all aspects of a farmers’ market shift, including market packing and preparation, market setup, customer interface, order processing, and market breakdown
• Market driving and logistical support available for the right candidates

COUNTER SUPPORT

• Utilization of order management processes
• Adherence to standards for appropriate packing of orders across product categories
• Communicating in an effective manner with customers who have arrived for pickup
• Ability to perform both pre-opening and post-closing tasks
• Setup and breakdown of product displays, outdoor dining equipment, etc.
• Cleaning, restocking, and side work

No experience is required, and seasonal workers are welcome. Counter Support Staff receive a competitive base salary and excellent tips.
