Job Summary

Serve as chief liaison to campus regarding the allocation of space and the management of space data. Oversees and leads the University Space and Project Working Group and the Executive Space Oversight Committee. Partners with stakeholders across the University to strategically plan for academic, research, and administrative growth while supporting and championing efficient utilization.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides strategic recommendations and/or solutions for all campus-wide space requests and ensure alignment with University¿s strategic goals
2. Advises Executive Space Oversight Committee on space requests, serves as chair of the Space and Project Working Group and meets regularly with Assistant Vice President of Planning, Design and Construction and associated peers to discuss campus-wide space needs
3. Manages and performs due diligence for all campus-wide space requests including reviewing and understanding space needs, analyzing current space utilization, meeting with impacted groups, and identifying potential solutions
4. Collaborates with the Director of Campus Planning in the overall campus strategy to support the Master Plan and reporting requirements for the University System of Georgia.
5. Collaborates with the Director of Design and Construction to ensure departmental moves and renovations are completed in accordance with department space needs
6. Participates in and informs programming for new construction projects or renovation projects across campus to inform space utilization and growth needs
7. Manages and implements space request process and guidelines and ensures all space requests are responded to in a timely manner
8. Leads special reviews and projects as directed by Executive Space Oversight Committee
9. Serves as main contact for the space liaisons at each college and division
10. Represents PDC in the implementation and management of the Integrated Work Management System Space Management software module including ensuring accurate and regular updates and suggesting system improvements to best track, report on, and optimize space utilization
11. Communicates with University administration and the USG office on space management related items.
12. In partnership with the Director of Campus Planning and the Assistant Director of Interior Design, develops campus-wide space policies to ensure consistent and industry-standard space allocation and resources.
13. Partners with the Office of the Vice President of Research on research space strategy as well as federal and state grant reporting.
14. In collaboration with Enrollment Services and the Registrar¿s office, supports effective and efficient use of centrally managed classroom spaces. Includes recommendations around refresh cycles and alignment of classroom layout with evolving pedagogical needs.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Required Experience
Eight (8) years of relevant experience Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in architecture, interior design, or planning

Preferred Experience
Previous experience in higher education Proposed Salary

Well-versed and knowledgeable of Board of Regents (BOR) and USG procedures, laws governing education data (FERPA) and best practices in a higher education environment

Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
