We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Remote Certified Medical Coder and Biller to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of patient claims while navigating the complexities of coding regulations. Key Responsibilities:

Claim Review: Review patient claims meticulously for accuracy and completeness, proactively seeking any missing payer information to ensure all details are included.
Code Assignment: Assign codes accurately and sequence them appropriately according to government and insurance regulations, adhering to all relevant medical coding guidelines and policies.
Chart Verification: Receive and review patients' charts and documents, ensuring all information is verified and accurate.
Collaboration: Follow up with team members to clarify any unclear information, fostering a supportive and communicative work environment.
Report Preparation: Collect information from Physicians and other sources to prepare comprehensive monthly reports that reflect our services and outcomes.
Strategic Implementation: Implement effective procedures and select evaluation methods that yield accurate results and contribute to operational excellence.
Malpractice Analysis: Examine any reported medical malpractice cases by analyzing medical procedures, diagnoses, or events that may have led to negligence.
Qualifications:

Associate degree in business, finance, health administration, or a related field is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a primary care clinic setting is preferred.
Certified medical coder with certification(s) from AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CPC, CRC, CCS, or CCS-P).
Strong expertise in ICD-10-CM and HCPCS coding.
Proficient in CPT, Category II, and/or E/M coding.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as eCW, EPIC, etc.
Proficiency in MS Office products.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A strong team player with high emotional intelligence, capable of building positive relationships.
Ability to make independent decisions aligned with business objectives.
