DESCRIPTION:
Maintains and executes the organization of the day-to-day operations of the departments of psychology, criminology and criminal justice, and education, and works with graduate programs.



OUTCOMES :
Departments are run efficiently, and faculty, students, chairs, administration and public receive full assistance.

• Function as liaison in communicating with and assisting full-time and adjunct faculty, departmental staff, students, student teacher supervisors, faculty advisors, parents, local school teachers/administrators, governmental and licensing agencies and the general public.   30%
• Provide administrative support for directors throughout the school, including Experiential Learning and Internship, and Field Experience.    20%
• Prepare forms, reports, exams, syllabi, contracts, program cards, pay vouchers, textbook orders, student observations, annual report, and flyers for the departments.   15%
• Answer telephones, provide departmental program information, relay messages.   15%
• Maintain departmental/program records and files, including course syllabi, and department meeting minutes..   5%
• Assist in reconciling departmental budgets. 5%
• Assist/coordinate logistics and preparation for departmental conferences/workshops; schedule meetings on behalf of the department chairs; attend faculty meetings and prepare minutes if needed.    5%
• Prepare course material such as classes and schedules; deliver confidential course materials/ messages to faculty.   4%
• Train and supervise work study students.   1%

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years' experience in higher education administration with particular focus in the fields of behavioral science and/or education.
